November 2017 Luncheon

Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11:15am - 1:00pm (Past Event)

Join AAF Memphis – in partnership with the Indie Memphis Film Festival - on Thursday, November 2, as director Adam Bhala Lough will discuss Bitcoin and other technology featured in his gripping documentary “The New Radical.” The luncheon will be held at the Halloran Centre in downtown Memphis.

Adam Bhala Lough is an award-winning American film director, producer and screenwriter. He made his directorial debut at the age of 23 with “Bomb the System” (2002), nominated for a Spirit Award for Best First Feature, which landed him on Filmmaker Magazine’s Top 25 Indie Filmmakers to Watch list. “The New Radical” is a documentary about uncompromising millennial radicals from the United States and the United Kingdom who attack the system through dangerous technological means, which evolves into a high-stakes game with world authorities in the midst of a dramatically changing political landscape. Adam lives and works in Los Angeles, sits on the Sundance Diversity committee and is a frequent mentor at the Sundance Native and Latino screenwriter’s labs. His work is driven by an obsession with storytelling, music and images as well as a deep love and curiosity for people.
