Meet Our Speaker, Kevin Fullerton
Principal/Creative Direction // Springboard Creative
Kevin Fullerton is an award-winning designer and creative director based in Kansas City. He judges creative shows across the nation, including local and district American Advertising Awards. Kevin also helps run awards competitions at the local, district and national level. He even helped rewrite the rules and revamp the categories for the American Advertising Awards. So, yeah, you’ve probably cussed about him at some point.
He is heavily involved in the American Advertising Federation and most recently served as the Central Region chairman and was a member of the National Board of Directors. Before that, Kevin was District 9 governor, AAF-Kansas City president and served on the National American Advertising Awards Committee. Last year Kevin was recognized as AAF-Kansas City’s Advertising Professional of the Year and the AAF Pat Martin Excellence in District Leadership Award honoree. He also does a bunch of things not related to AAF, they just aren’t as interesting.

Antionette Carroll, Founder, President and CEO of Creative Reaction Lab (a nonprofit educating and deploying youth to challenge racial and health inequities impacting Black and Latinx populations), and our speaker for September’s AAF Memphis luncheon, believes that high-level constructs like systems of oppression, inequality and inequity are to blame.
Join us Thursday, September 24, 12pm CT for a presentation that will focus on our responsibility as distributors of information, ideas and innovation to use our influence to lead others toward a path that BUILDS equity. During this session, Antionette Carroll will offer a framework to help us redesign these inequitable systems that divide and separate, rather than unite. She will help creative professionals and leaders prioritize equal outcomes over equal access with a goal of changing the mindset of our industry while challenging the creative sector to look past tangible (and biased) design.
The end game: Placing value on a future-forward approach of leadership; one that rethinks the roles of identity, power and equity.
Meet Our Speaker, Antionette D. Carroll:
Antionette Carroll is the Founder, President and CEO of Creative Reaction Lab, a nonprofit educating and deploying youth to challenge racial and health inequities impacting Black and Latinx populations. Within this role, Antionette has pioneered an award-winning form of creative problem solving called Equity-Centered Community Design (named a Fast Company World Changing Idea Finalist). Through this capacity, Antionette has received several recognitions and awards including being named an ADL and Aspen Institute Civil Society Fellow, Roddenberry Fellow, Echoing Green Global Fellow, TED Fellow, ADCOLOR Innovator, SXSW Community Service Honoree, Camelback Ventures Fellow, 4.0 Schools Tiny Fellow, St. Louis Visionary Award Honoree for Community Impact, and Essence Magazine Woke 100.
Within her almost 10 years of volunteer leadership, Antionette was named the Founding Chair of the Diversity andInclusion Task Force of AIGA: The Professional Association of Design. She’s a former AIGA National Board Director and Chair Emerita of the Task Force. During her tenure, she founded and launched several initiatives, including the Design Census Program with Google, Racial Justice by Design Initiative, Diversity and Inclusion Residency, and national Design for Inclusivity Summit with Microsoft. Additionally, she’s the co-founder of the Design + Diversity Conference and Fellowship and an active member of Adobe's Design Circle. Whitney is an award-winning entrepreneur, cultural architect, and business strategist. As an executive she applies +10 years of start-up, business development, public accounting, and information technology experience to solve problems, find opportunities, and help businesses and cities grow.
She serves as the Director of Entrepreneurial Programs for Epicenter where she manages a portfolio of Memphis-based businesses in the sectors of community business, food-agriculture, maker products, music, film, and creative innovation.
Hardy was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She is national speaker and and has written for publications such as Vice and Americans for the Arts.
Pam Crittendon Johnson is a 19-year employee of FedEx and is currently an Advisor in the Global Citizenship group. Her specific responsibilities include managing strategic programs and philanthropic relationships with national and international non-profit organizations. She is the lead for the Global Entrepreneurship giving pillar, working with organizations focused on developing and growing minority- and women-owned businesses around the world.
She also works with major institutions and non-profits focused on Diversity and Inclusion, such as National Cares Mentoring, The Trevor Foundation, and the Executive Leadership Council.
A 2005 winner of the FedEx Five Star Award (the company’s highest honor) previous roles include Manager of the FedEx video production team, and Senior Communications Specialist on the Community Relations and Issues and Crisis Management teams.
She is familiar face many throughout the Memphis, TN area because of her many years in radio and television broadcasting – 18 of those years as an award-winning anchor/reporter at the CBS affiliate, WREG-TV. Other professional experience includes radio journalist, advertising, public relations, voice-over talent, freelance writing and video production.
Pam has been involved in numerous civic and community organizations over the years including the Memphis Urban League, United Way, Girls Inc., Memphis Association of Black Journalists, March of Dimes, and Leadership Memphis. She has been involved in numerous community service activities as a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Nicole A. Thomas is a Marketing & Communications Strategist and Founder of the Nicallyss Creative Group.
